Experienced ocean kayaker, Mark Schroeder, uses Mango Racing Carbon Paddles for ocean kayaking.

In July 2010, Mark and his paddling partner Matt Bezzina, crossed the infamous Bass Strait. This pair of “hairy racing snakes” endured a few misadventures and personal challenges along the way.

” Twenty days, no less, it took us to kayak across Bass Strait from Victoria to Tasmania, perhaps a week longer than average. But here’s the thing: I wish it had been longer”.

Surf Life Saving Clubs all over Australia rely on public support and funding to assist in purchasing rescue equipment, the training and development of future surf lifesavers and educational awareness programs to help save lives.

The 4th National Boardies Day is on Friday December 3rd. This is a great opportunity to get involved, have fun and help make a difference. So get your boardies out and wear them with pride on the day.

Hurricane’s Grill & Bar Bondi Beach Restaurant has been a long time supporter of Bondi Bathers Surf Life Saving Club. In 2009, the restaurant donated two Mango Racing Adjustable Nipper Surf Skis. These skis ensure that the club’s junior lifesavers are given every opportunity to become proficient future surf life savers and surf life saving champions.

These adjustable skis are ideal for training and development, and suit all age groups, from nippers to seniors.

Hurricane’s Grill Bondi Beach also donated two surf Rescue Boards for Training & Development  to Bondi Bathers Surf Life Saving Club for safety and rescue in 2006.

Mango Racing invites you to come and test our paddles at Bondi Beach. Our world class paddle blades are specially made from high tech, high compression aluminium moulds with each section weighing over 50 kilos.

All carbon blades are produced perfectly, and are so smooth, free of any distortion and material marks. The paddle blades have even weight distribution and heat transfer and are built light and strong.

To date, none of our blades have split, shattered or broken in surf and kayak racing with this new technology.

Kayaker Emma Thomson was selected for the 2010 Australian Canoe Sprint Junior Team earlier this year. She competed with her team in Bochum Germany in June and they recorded their best ever results.
Mango Racing are proud to be Emma’s paddle sponsor and we will be reporting news of her progress in the future.

You can read more about Emma and her team’s success at Bochum by visiting the Australian Canoeing Website.

The Bondi Surf Club created a new patrol group this season called the Baldock Patrol. Captained by Mango Munsami, the patrol recently won “Patrol Of The Year 2010”.

Having an additional patrol group, helps to reduce the hours each active member is expected to contribute for the season. Congratulations to the Baldock Patrol team.
