Hairy Racing SnakesExperienced ocean kayaker, Mark Schroeder, uses Mango Racing Carbon Paddles for ocean kayaking.

Hairy Racing Snakes cross Bass Strait

In July 2010, Mark and his paddling partner Matt Bezzina, crossed the infamous Bass Strait. This pair of "hairy racing snakes" endured a few misadventures and personal challenges along the way.

" Twenty days, no less, it took us to kayak across Bass Strait from Victoria to Tasmania, perhaps a week longer than average. But here’s the thing: I wish it had been longer".
